Markus Schmotz

Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Dr. Markus Schmotz is an empathetic leader who is deeply fascinated by the interplay between individuals and the systems surrounding them. Over the past 15 years, he has introduced Agile ways of working in teams, led a global Lean & Leadership transformation of 30 production sites and was the driving force of culture change initiative in a corporation.

Markus sits in the sweet-spot between Agile, Lean and Leadership. He works closely with team members in the system, as well as with leadership on the system—across the boundaries of methodologies and frameworks. Depending on circumstance, clients will see Markus as trainer and coach, project leader and manager, or active problem solver and Kaizen leader.

In his free time, Markus enjoys spending time with his family and volunteers as a chairman of a tennis club. He loves cooking, heavy metal music, and reading epic and contemporary fantasy novels.
